when u click the selection tool, there is a little triangle that points down, click on it then there should be a link that says free hand selection, then at the top where all the links are, it is an area that says selection type, click that little scroll down link beside it, it should say point to point or edge seeker click on of those. If you need any help just ask me I'm free to help.
